GUEST SERVICES/HOUSEKEEPING SUPPORT AND GROUNDS KEEPING/MAINTENANCE – position filled for 2026

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable couple to join our team as work campers at Hidden Lake Campground & Resort in Hot Springs, South Dakota. This position is perfect for couples who enjoy working together in a beautiful outdoor setting while contributing to the smooth operations of our resort.

DESCRIPTION:

Position 1 – Guest Services & Housekeeping Support

  • Office duties, including assisting guests with check-ins, reservations, and general inquiries.
  • Cabin laundry, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
  • Stripping and making up cabins between guest stays.
  • Stocking and replenishing cabin supplies.
  • Overseeing and assisting the cleaning team to ensure cabins are guest-ready.

Position 2 – Groundskeeping and maintenance

  • Gardening, planting, watering, weeding, and general landscaping tasks.
  • Mowing, trimming, and upkeep of resort grounds.
  • Light maintenance projects, including painting, caulking, and minor repairs.
  • Assisting with upkeep and small fixes in cabins as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENSATION:

This position is designed for a work camper couple.

Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, landscaping, or maintenance is a plus, but not required.

Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.

This position is a seasonal position from May 13, 2026 to September 15, 2026

Hours worked will be 5 days a week for approximately 30 hours a week. Days of the week are dependent on guest stays. All hours are paid at an hourly rate of $14 an hour, and a full hook-up site is included. Total combined compensation is $22 an hour.

HOUSEKEEPING – Position FILLED for 2026

OVERVIEW:

Housekeepers at Hidden Lake Campground and Resort play a vital role in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for all guests. The position involves performing a variety of cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain the overall cleanliness of the resort’s cabins and common areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our cabins are just like houses and include kitchens, bathrooms, windows, and everything in between. Our cabins range from studio cabins all the way up to a 4-bedroom, and on average, you will be flipping between 4-10 cabins each workday.

Housekeepers clean cabins in their entirety each work day – sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, windows, etc.

Housekeepers also clean the shower house and laundry room areas each workday. We have a total of 4 showers and 4 bathroom stalls, along with one laundry room facility that will be cleaned each workday.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENSATION:

This position is designed for a work camper couple, but we will consider a single person if they are a good match.

Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred, but we will train the right people.

This position is a seasonal position from April 15, 2026 to October 15, 2026

Hours worked will be Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from approximately 10 am to 4 pm for approximately 24 hours a week. All hours are paid at an hourly rate of $14 an hour, and a full hook-up site is included. Total combined compensation is $22 an hour.
