EVANS PLUNGE MINERAL SPRINGS

Located a half mile from Hidden Lake, Evans Plunge was built in 1890 over the numerous sparkling springs of mineral water in the town of Hot Springs. Fast forward a few hundred years and Evans Plunge is still up and running and a great place to soak and play with an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and water slides.

THE MAMMOTH SITE

Located a mile and a half from Hidden Lake, The Mammoth Site is the world’s largest mammoth research facility and one of the top fossil interpretive sites in North America. Over 60 mammoths (58 Columbian, 3 woolly) have been unearthed, along with at least 87 other Late Ice Age animals.

CUSTER STATE PARK

The Entrance to Custer State Park is 15 minutes from Hidden Lake. Custer State Park encompasses 71,000 acres in the Black Hills, Custer State Park is home to abundant wildlife and adventure; hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, or relaxing, there’s something here for everyone.
